Dilansir AFP, Selasa (20\/9\/2022), Sidang PBB digelar dengan fokus tentang musim dingin dan ketidakpuasan global yang akan datang dari kenaikan harga, planet yang memanas dan konflik mematikan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Antonio Guterres, memberi hormat atas upaya kerja sama global, memperingatkan keadaan planet yang mengerikan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKepercayaan runtuh, ketidaksetaraan meledak, planet kita memanas. Orang-orang menderita, dengan yang paling rentan menderita paling banyak,\u201d lanjut Guterres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Guterres pun mengecam perusahaan bahan bakar fosil dan perang bunuh diri melawan alam. Ia juga mengungkit banjir yang merendam sebagian wilayah Pakistan hingga meningkatnya suhu bumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMari kita katakan seperti itu. Dunia kita ketergantungan bahan bakar fosil. Sudah waktunya untuk intervensi. Kita perlu meminta pertanggungjawaban perusahaan bahan bakar fosil dan para pendukungnya,\u201d kata Guterres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dia meminta semua negara maju untuk mengenakan pajak bahan bakar fosil dan mendedikasikan dana untuk mengkompensasi kerusakan akibat perubahan iklim dan untuk membantu orang yang berjuang dengan harga tinggi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
